Basset Hound

Basset Hounds are described as charming, patient, and low-key dogs who are categorized in the hound group of dog breeds. They have a variety of colors, but the most common colors are tri-color tan, black, and white; black and white; brown and white; or red and white. Basset Hounds are known to shed, but they do not shed much compared to other dog breeds. They are considered a medium to large dog breed with a height up to 15 inches and an average weight of 40-65 pounds for both genders. They have a life expectancy of 12-13 years.
