English Cocker Spaniels are described as energetic, merry, and responsive dogs who are categorized in the sporting group of dog breeds. English cocker spaniels are most commonly found in color combinations of black, red, liver, tan, orange, lemon, or white. They are known to shed quite a lot compared to other dog breeds. They are considered a medium sized dog with a height ranging from 16-17 inches for the males, and 15-16 inches for the females. They have an average weight of 28-34 pounds for the males, and 26-32 pounds for the females. Their life expectancy is 12-14 years.
