Spaniel (English Springer)

English Springer Spaniels are described as friendly, playful, and obedient dogs who are categorized in the sporting group of dog breeds. The Springer Spaniel can come in a range of colors and combinations. The most common colors are black or liver with white markings or white with black or liver markings. Springer Spaniels can also be blue, liver roan or tri-color. Springers shed moderately all year long, and regular brushing will also help keep loose hair under control. They are considered a medium sized dog breed with a height ranging from 20 inches for the males, and 19 inches for the females. They have an average weight of 50 pounds for the males, and 40 pounds for the females. They have a life expectancy of 12-14 years.
