Saint Bernard’s come in various shades of red with white or white with red. The red comes in various shades, from brindle patches with white markings to brownish-yellow. The white occurs on the chest, around the neck, around the nose, and on the feet and tip of the tail. They are very heavy shedders and shed their coat even more during the change of seasons. They are considered a large dog breed with a height ranging from 28-30 inches for males, and 26-28 inches for females. They have an average weight of 140-180 pounds for the males, and 120-140 pounds for the females. Their life expectancy is 8-10 years.
